Your first dive in Baška: what really happens
No experience needed: how Discover Scuba Diving works at Squatina Dive Center in Baška, from the briefing to your first breath underwater.
By the Squatina Diving team
Never dived before? You are in good company. Discover Scuba Diving is made for complete beginners: no previous experience is required, and the minimum age is 10. You only need to be comfortable in water.
Before you arrive
Everyone answers a short medical questionnaire before diving. You can fill it in online in advance with the Discover Scuba Diving check-in. If you answer YES to any question, a doctor may need to confirm that you are fit to dive. Under-18s need a parent or guardian to sign the forms.
The briefing
We meet at the dive center on the beach in Baška (Zarok 88a). Your instructor starts with a personal introduction to scuba diving and the essentials, in a calm and comfortable environment. All the equipment is provided, and our groups are small, so you get personal attention.
Your first breath underwater
Then you enter the water and take your first breath through the regulator. There is no rush and no pressure. You discover how it feels to breathe underwater and to move freely in three dimensions, at your own pace and guided by your instructor.
Price and cancellation
Discover Scuba Diving costs €90, equipment included. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before the start; after that there is no refund.
What comes next?
If you love it, the next step is the Open Water Diver course: a minimum of three days to a certification recognised around the world. Ready to try? Send us your booking request or read the FAQ.
